Proof of Delivery

In Arabicإثبات التسليم

In short

A record confirming a shipment reached the right recipient at a given time and place, used for billing and disputes.

What is proof of delivery in fleet management?

Proof of delivery is the last link in a shipment's delivery chain: once a signed paper, now an electronic confirmation captured on the driver's phone with time and location. Without it invoices stall and every complaint becomes the driver's word against the customer's.

In Safee, the office can send the driver an administrative task through the driver mobile app, and he answers its questions with text, a number, a date or a file, such as a photo of the signed delivery note. Safee's tracking record backs this with the vehicle's position and time at the customer.

How it works

  1. 1Driver hands over the goods
  2. 2Delivery confirmed in the app
  3. 3Confirmation saved with time and location

Why does proof of delivery matter in fleet management?

Unproven deliveries delay collection by days and invite claims for goods that "never arrived". Electronic POD backed by vehicle location settles disputes in minutes and ends the end-of-day chase for paperwork.

What you gain

  • Faster invoice collection
  • Settles delivery disputes
  • No lost paperwork

How does Safee help with proof of delivery?

Safee pairs the delivery confirmation from the driver mobile app with the vehicle's location history, so each delivery has two pieces of evidence: a confirmation from the field and a path showing the vehicle was at the customer at that time. Claims are settled the same day and invoices are paid sooner.

A field example

Medina · Pharma distribution

A pharma distributor in Medina faced about 25 claims a month from pharmacies saying orders never arrived, each taking a week to settle. After adopting in-app proof of delivery and matching it to the vehicle's stop at the pharmacy, it answered claims the same day, and claims fell to 6 a month.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between paper and electronic POD?

Paper must be collected and filed and can be lost; electronic POD is recorded instantly on the driver's phone with a time and can be matched to vehicle location.

Is GPS tracking alone enough proof of delivery?

It proves the vehicle was at the customer, not that the goods were accepted. The strongest proof combines delivery confirmation with location history.
