Release 6.9.5 adds a choice for the vehicle ignition time source and includes the value in alarm notification emails.
Ignition time from CAN-Bus
A new option on the CANbus Configuration page uses engine working hours from CAN-Bus as vehicle ignition time when the value is available.
Choose the calculation method
- With Calculated, the system accumulates ignition time from the ignition state in each received message.
- With CAN-Bus, the system uses the supplied Total Engine Hours value as received.
- Ignition time now appears in alarm notification emails.
Accuracy notice
The documentation strongly recommends avoiding manual ignition-time edits or CAN-Bus values unless their accuracy and reliability are fully confirmed, because incorrect values can affect results and reports.
