Remote Commands

In Arabicالأوامر عن بُعد

In short

Instructions the platform sends over the network to a vehicle's tracker, which carries them out and reports back, with nobody going near the vehicle.

What are remote commands in fleet management?

Remote commands are control messages the platform sends to the tracker, which executes them and reports the result. The common ones are immobilising and releasing the vehicle, loading the list of authorised drivers, and changing device settings. If the vehicle is out of coverage, the command stays pending and the platform retries until the unit connects.

In Safee every command is logged with its type, date, number of attempts and last result, and the same command can go to many vehicles in one batch through the Custom Bulk Commands page.

How it works

  1. 1Supervisor picks command and vehicles
  2. 2Platform retries until unit connects
  3. 3Tracker executes and reports back

Why do remote commands matter in fleet management?

Every site visit to change a tracker costs technician hours and a vehicle's working day. Remote commands do the job in minutes and stop a stolen vehicle without a chase. The command history shows what was sent, when and whether it ran, so no unit is quietly left on an old setting and no new driver left unauthorised.

What you gain

  • Fewer technician visits
  • Instant control after theft
  • Clear record of every command

How does Safee help you send remote commands and track their results?

Safee sends a command to one vehicle or to dozens at once, and keeps retrying vehicles that are switched off or out of coverage for the set period. The command history shows what has run and what is still pending, so technicians visit only the vehicles that really need them.

A field example

Jeddah · Ready-mix concrete

A ready-mix company in Jeddah hired 25 drivers for night shifts in its peak season and needed them authorised on 60 mixers fitted with ID readers. The authorisation commands went out from the platform in one batch: 56 mixers took them within the hour, and 4 at a site with no coverage stayed pending until they came back in range. The drivers started work the same day with no technician visit.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if the vehicle is out of coverage when a command is sent?

The command stays pending and the platform keeps retrying until the unit connects or the retry period ends.

How long does the platform keep retrying?

It depends on the command. In Safee, for example, a driver authorisation command stays live for a week and is retried every ten minutes until the unit connects.

Can a vehicle be immobilised at high speed?

The immobilise command can be refused when speed is high, so it is normally sent when the vehicle is stopped or slow.
