Release 5.7.0: Augmented Arguments for Device Inputs and Parameters

Version: 5.7.0

Release 5.7.0 introduces Augmented Arguments, giving you flexibility in configuring device inputs, outputs and parameters: you set rules for arguments, designate their sources and apply them to specific device types and models.

  1. Introduction: an overview of the process.
  2. Argument type: choose from the available options, including SOS, driver seatbelt, analog weight, trip type, fuel sensor, ignition, driver ID, four-wheel drive and temperature sensors.
  3. Argument resolver: defines the data source with three processing methods: “add anyway”, “clear previous data then add” or “add only if no previous data”.
  4. Device types and models: specify the target devices.
  5. Confirmation: review and approve.

Displays which rules apply to specific vehicles or to device type and models, with the full configuration details.

Important warnings

  • Avoid creating duplicate rules for the same argument on identical device types and models, as the system cannot guarantee proper application.
  • Rule priority is hierarchical: company-level rules override partner-level rules for the same argument and device combination.
