Release 6.8.1: Card ID Parsing for Waste Management Serial Data
Version: 6.8.1
Release 6.8.1 improves the augmented argument resolver in the Waste Management module, so card IDs can be read from serial data with more flexibility and compatibility.
- Serial Data Format: whether the data arrives as Hex or ASCII.
- Serial Data Minimum Length: the shortest allowed length, so incomplete or invalid input is rejected.
- Serial Data Accepted Length: the accepted length, so data that is too short or too long is ignored.
- Serial Data Starts With: the character or byte where the system starts collecting the container or card ID.
- Serial Data Ends With: the character or byte that marks the end of the ID.
- ID First Character Index: the position of the first character or byte of the ID, following the system’s counting logic.
- ID Length: the length of the card ID, so the system extracts and validates it correctly.
Configuration note
To read the entire serial data as the card ID, set ID First Character Index to 1 and leave ID Length empty.
